In 2012, Citrus Suite set down roots in the Baltic Triangle – then a relatively off-the-beaten-track neighbourhood with a vision that resonated deeply with us. We placed our faith in Baltic Creative’s idea, moving onto Jamaica Street, and later on to Digital House. The promise was palpable, but the noise and bustle? Not quite there yet. We were amidst a select group, including the likes of Sound City and music venue District, that saw potential in this up-and-coming neighbourhood.
Over the years, we witnessed the astounding metamorphosis of the Baltic Triangle, moving to Digital House in 2019. From a subdued space of potential to a thriving epicentre of culture, creativity, and community. A place where you can sip on artisanal coffee while gazing at inspiring street art, or hear The Coral or Echo & the Bunnymen rehearsing; and watch gigs from Ladytron to Stereolab (last week, a literal stone throw from our office, at CONTENT).
And as the area evolved, so did Citrus Suite. While we’ve held on to our sentimental and strategic connection with the Digital House (still our registered business address), 2021 marked a new chapter. Emerging from numerous lockdowns we embraced the buzzing vibe of Brewery Works for our physical office space, seamlessly blending the old with the new.
The recent recognition from Time Out, which positioned the Baltic Triangle as not just the coolest UK neighbourhood but the 11th globally, is a testament to the region’s allure. And what makes it even more special for us? Having been a part of this journey, from its inception to its current iconic status.
