Disney UK and Creative England challenged regionally-based technology developers to come up with a digital prototype to help inspire families to lead healthier lifestyles.
Citrus Suite was selected as the winning agency, after being shortlisted as one of three finalists.
Chris Morland, CEO of Citrus Suite: “We saw this competition as a great opportunity to work with Disney which has a long-standing global commitment to healthy living. Partnering with Disney will give us the chance to let our creativity shine, while accessing the best movie brand IP. We’re focussed on making the concept work as a fun Disney prototype. We’ve got a busy few months ahead but we’re looking forward to the challenge.”

The announcement was made at CE Live, from Google HQ in London. Hosted by self-proclaimed ‘Tech Cool Hunter’ and TV Presenter, Laura-Jane ‘LJ’ Rich, the one day conference featured keynote speeches, engaging panel discussion and some of the most dynamic and influential individuals from the Creative Industries.
Creative England’s CEO Caroline Norbury announced that Citrus would be working with Disney in the event introduction. “[There’s] a creative and commercial magic that can flow when the big guys work with the little guys,” she told an audience at the annual Creative England event.
“As digital technology becomes ubiquitous across more and more industries we are seeing an explosion of cross-sector ventures that draw on the skills and business practices of small businesses in the creative industries,” said Norbury.
Later in the day Citrus Suite took part in a session titled Cross Sector Innovations, alongside Steve Vranakis, Executive Creative Director; with Citrus’s Chris Morland discussing bringing innovation and gamification to health and fitness apps.
