This is the post where we cast our eyes towards the coming year and look back at the previous twelve months.
2016 – The Future
It’s all about the future. This is one award that never dates… Selected as one of 10 Future Leaders; a list that Creative England believe showcases some of the best creative talent in England’s regions.
“Our ten Future Leaders were chosen by a panel of judges for their strong growth promise and their potential to disrupt the sector with true innovation.”
The judges were some of Europe’s most renowned and influential technology experts, and they saw the synergy between our creative work and our mobile wellbeing ideas.
In the future We Are Your Leader. We’ll be nice to you.

We have some exciting news about a gamified health and wellbeing app we’ve been designing. We’re announcing the project in January 2016 from Google HQ. Lots of planning going on at the moment. #apps #tech #innovation

Looking Back At 2015
We’ll start the 2015 round up with one of our own ideas that is taking shape nicely:
We’ve had lots of fun planning Fee Fi Fo Fit™, an immersive fitness game designed to help families with young children get active. We were initially targeting a 2015 release but then some interesting business opportunities led to a rethink… Watch this space for BIG Fee Fi Fo Fit™ news.
The New Blood
To ensure the best quality for our clients, we integrated new developers throughout 2015 to great effect. The classic team of 2010-2014 (Chris, Steve, Macca & Dom) is still together, while the Citrus ranks have swelled from 4 to 9 developers (the average age now down to 32!). In addition to the development staff we have another very important member of team member who keeps us on our toes: Archie the studio dog.
Enterprise Apps
As always many of our commissions are confidential enterprise apps, distributed seamlessly and securely within organisations; categories include retail, insurance, sales, organisational, broadcast streaming video and more. An example we can talk about is My Medicash, (iOS, Android and website) which has transformed the way the insurance company’s customers submit claims.
Book Apps
We produced a range creative apps including Daily Wonder 365 for Random House Digital in New York. It’s based upon the companion book to the #1 New York Times bestselling novel Wonder by R. J. Palacio. #choosekind
Internet of Things
We were part of Liverpool City Region’s Internet of Things consortium and produced an IoT app for customers to see account data outputted from their installed smart energy device; guaranteeing electricity savings.
mHealth
In the mHealth area the incredible Rescon approached us to utilise our UX skills to create a health and wellbeing app that features their unique patented platform. We’ve got plans for several more projects with Tom and the Rescon team and we’re looking forward to getting these off the ground. Read about Lincus.
Remind Memory Suite™ has been out for trial. Designed with people living with dementia and carers, we’ve had lots of interest and help shaping the platform. Read about ReMind
Liverpool YMCA assisted with a trial of the app via the Waves of Hope initiative. And a similar trial was conducted with Liverpool’s Chinese Wellbeing charity to help the elderly members of the community stay connected.
Co-creation sessions were followed by iterative versions of the app, each being tweaked and refined based on end-user feedback. Development continues and new opportunities await in 2016.
